Our last trip in the truck was December, even then it was far too hot to be camping out, but we decided to give it a go anyway. I had never experienced humidity like that before, even Singapore and Thailand were dryer.
It was a last minute decision to even go up for the night, but we had nothing better to do, so we convoyed up to Hedland with my workmate and her BF. Along the way we stopped to check out some big rock formations, yes, rocks, theres not alot else to look at round here! We did pass horses and cows along the way too, I don't know how they survive out there.
Anyway, after stopping at Maccas for dinner, we had a dip in the pool at a local camp. The water was hotter than than air, we had to hose off afterward to cool down.
That night we camped up at I think what the locals call "sand spit" or something. we got no sleep that night, it was way too hot and there was a group of people racing round behind us all night on quad bikes.
